Corinne Brenner is interested in using technology to understand the world, and ourselves, too.

After completing a BA in Psychology at Cornell University and and MSc in Social Psychology and Psychological Methods at the University of Amsterdam, Corinne worked at a number of nonprofits and startups as a researcher and data scientist.

During her PhD at NYU, she has focused on developing methods for analyzing digital games for learning, especially unsupervised clustering techniques for describing player performance. She has also conducted user research investigating virtual environments for entertainment and education. Her dissertation work examines dental students’ cognitive and emotional responses to a virtual reality simulation which teaches anesthetic injection.

She enjoys Dutch reality TV, freehand embroidery, and running.
